A: No. The current average rates are not correct. When we launch in May we will have a more accurate assessment of the AVERAGE rates for each vehicle. One thing will not change. The posted rates will be approximations. The reason for this is long winded, but simple:

There are daily rates, mid-week rates, weekend rates, Friday-Sunday rates, and Saturday-Monday, event rates, and special rates. Some locations in the midwest offer rates of $59.00 per day, and many locations in the sunbelt offer hourly rates. There are regions where there is strong competition, and there are areas where certain stores hold a virtual monopoly, so prices can range dramatically from state to state, and certainly, from model to model.

One thing is certain, once you enter the reservation process with LYNX Powersports, we will work to find you the best available rates.

Q: When will I see the name of the Powersport Rental location?

A: You will see the name of the Motorcycle Rental agency immediately after you complete the preliminary reservation request with LYNX. Currently, we do not take credit card information from the client. At LYNX we try to give you the best rate, and the most information with the least amount of  personal involvement. We work WITH each dealer in our massive network on a 1 to 1 basis. Our ability to SERVE the dealer makes it easier on the customer. The process is the same for ATV Rentals, Watersport Rentals, and Scooter rentals.

Q: When will I be charged for my rental booking?

A: LYNX will route your reservation to the dealer that will best serve your needs. Your entire account will be handled by the destination rental operator. All credit card transactions will be handled at the rental desk, or over the phone with the approved rental outlet. 

Q: Do you have to be a certain age to rent a Motorcycle?

A: Yes.  Most rental outlets require that you at least be the golden age of 25. A number of locations allow anyone over 21 to rent, but this is an irregular occurrence. Harley Davidson Authorized Rentals usually permit anyone over 21 years of age to rent a motorcycle, but dealer participation can vary at times.

Q: Are you required to have a credit card?

A: For all practical purposes, Yes. In the motorcycle rental sector the answer is an absolute, YES.

Q: Do I have to be an experienced rider?

A: For Motorcycles, YES: You must possess a Motorcycle driver's license. You must also possess the skills, knowledge and ability to operate a motorcycle. One should possess a valid heavyweight motorcycle operator's license. The dealer can refuse service if the customer shows an inablility to handle the machine.

    For other powersport rentals: The certification requirements will vary. It is important to familiarize yourself with the requirements of each rental operator.
